What To Do Before Spring Break

It's exciting to have a killer trip planned and all set for the upcoming Spring Break. But just because you booked the trip with your friends does not mean you are done planning! There are a few essential things you need to check off before you are ready to go.

Your Outfit

Yes the trip itself will cost you some money, but you definitely want to get some new clothes before your trip. Everyone else is going to have brand new clothes that they bought specifically for Spring Break, and you definitely don't want to look like you're wearing hand-me-downs.

Also, just because you think it looks good, doesn't mean that is true! Take someone of the opposite sex to the mall with you and have them help you pick out some clothes. Make sure whoever you take has good taste, you don't want the blind leading the blind.

Swimsuit shopping should definitely be included since that's what you'll be wearing a lot of the time, so get some new bikini's or board shorts. Don't forget to find clothes for the bar and for dancing at the club. Also, you might want to get some clothes for cooler weather JUST IN CASE.  Spring break isn't quite July, so it isn't unheard of to get chilly when the sun goes down.

Hit the Gym

Let's face it, the 9 months since last summer may have not been the greatest for taking care of your body. Spring Break is about partying at the beach, and if you want to look good then you need to put in the work! Even if it is just walking, you should definitely be doing SOME form of exercise for 30 minutes a day starting AT LEAST six weeks before your trip. The sooner the better.

Tanning

You make think you're going to spring break to get a tan, but trust me, you don't want to show up in front of everyone at the beach all pasty white. Yeah it might seem kind of feminine for guys to go indoor tanning, but just do it. You want to look your best when your trip rolls around. Plus, by the time spring break is over, you'll have a real tan to show off.

Shades

You're going to need some sunglasses all day every day at the beach or pool. Make sure to take some time to get some cool, new sunglasses before your trip! You'll look like a wannabe with fake Oakley's, so make sure to get something nice. This is another good time to bring a friend along to tell you what looks good. Bigger isn't always better (girls), it depends on the shape of your face.

You'll also want to make copies of things like your license, passport, and driver's license before you leave. This will save you lots of hassle if you happen to lose them while you're on your trip. If you didn't take this precaution, you won't be able to get into bars/clubs, and you'll be hating life.

Things to do in Lake Havasu for Spring Break

Lake Havasu is a fairly popular destination for Spring Breakers. It is geared towards people who might not want the big, intense college spring break parties that places like South Padre Island have. Instead, Lake Havasu has a wide variety of activities to do with your friends during your Spring Break.

Here's a list of things to do in Lake Havasu for Spring Break.

Boating

This is the obvious activity. If you're going to a lake, you're probably going boating. There are different ways to go about here, though.

If you're looking for a nice, relaxing day then head to the cove at copper canyon or the sandbar. Here you will find boats PACKED together with Spring Breakers. Lots of music, drinking, and partying going on here.

If you want more adventure there is cliff diving, jet skiing, wakeboarding/waterskiing, fishing, scuba diving, and more. And if you don't own a boat, don't worry. There are places to rent boats here.

The Great Outdoors

Lake Havasu is in the desert, so there is a lot of hiking, biking, and off-roading to do. Rentals are definitely available, and there are some great places to see out here! Definitely a beautiful location.

Nightlife

It starts to get pretty chilly at night during Spring Break, so people usually come in off the lake. The party continues on shore at places like Kokomo. This place has several dance floors, dj's, great music, and even a pool that you can get in for free if you buy a drink. Probably the biggest nightlife place at Havasu. Another fun one is the night club Red Room.

London Bridge

The historical reason to come to Lake Havasu: London Bridge! They have the actual London Bridge. So the story is that it was sinking into the ground in London because it wasn't built for all the heavy traffic there. Then in the 60's they sold it to the founder of Lake Havasu and he had it carefully taken apart (block by block), shipped to Arizona, and reassembled. Kind of a cool attraction and they have cheap tours of it you can do. Also a pretty romantic spot for a walk with a significant other.

Well, that's not EVERYTHING to do at Lake Havasu, but hopefully you at least have a taste of what it is like now! If you are looking for an unforgettable Spring Break trip with your friends, make sure you check out Inertia Tours. They have some amazing packages to several destinations.

Best Spring Break Hotels by Destination

If you have decided that you and some friends are going to go on a spring break trip, the first thing you need to do is figure out where you want to go. There are lots of good destinations for parties and good times. Check out Inertia Tours to find out where the biggest parties of spring break will be.

After finding a destination, you need to figure out where you are going to stay. It can be hard to find a good place if you haven't been to a particular destination before. Without seeing the hotel first, you never know what you're getting yourself into. That's why we decided to make this blog- so you can know the very BEST hotels in every major Spring Break destination.

South Padre Island, TX

Peninsula Condos

Peninsula Island Resort & Spa is one of the nicest hotels in South Padre! If you're looking for quality, this is your place. It has large condos right on the beach with full kitchens and living room. Lots of other nice perks like the fitness center and spa are available here. Another bonus, it's only about 200 yards from the Coke Beach Stage, making it a short walk to the biggest beach party location.

Inverness Condos

Inverness condos is another good choice for students that want to stay on the beach! You might as well stay where the parties will be happening. You're also going to be within the 3 mile party strip. You'll get 1 or 2 bedroom condos here, with a kitchen as well.

Panama City, FL

Summit Condos

The Summit is in a great location. They have big 1 bedroom condos along with kitchens, living rooms, and beachfront access. It is also walking distance to all the big nightclubs in Panama City, so this is the place to be staying if you're going to Panama City.

Laketown Wharf Condos

Laketown Wharf is the largest condo complex in the entire state! It's right across the street from the beach, which is also nice. The rooms are fully equipped; you even get a washer & dryer and multiple bathrooms. There's lots of pools to relax at, one of which is a roof top pool with a hot tub as well. Only a mile from a couple major clubs, and it's right next to Walmart. Can't beat the cheap beer/groceries.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Holiday Inn Beach

It can be a little intimidating to go on a trip to a different country, which is why it is nice to stay at a hotel with a familiar name: Holiday Inn! This isn't your standard run-of-the-mill Holiday Inn though, this is a full on resort! It has all-inclusive availablility. It's also just minutes from any major nightclub.

Marriott Casamagna

Another fantastic beachfront hotel with a name you can trust. Beautiful pool and beach, and some world class restaurants to eat at. They also have an award winning spa, if you're into that.  Customer service here is unbeatable.

Cancun, Mexico

Gran Caribe Real

In our opinion, this is the nicest spring break-friendly hotel in the city. The food and beverages available with the all inclusive package are fantastic. There are TWO big beach party stages on the beach in front of the property during spring break. Nice pools that play good music for partying. Just a few minutes away from the Party Center.

Aloft Cancun

A nice hotel with definitely a very modern feel. It has beach access, with really nice rooms. It has free internet, which can be hard to come by in Mexico. Also not far from the nightlife and clubs.

Now you know a couple hotels in all the major spring break destinations that won't surprise you with mold, cockroaches or anything like that. These hotels are the best of the best, and you'll enjoy the customer service at any of them. Once you've got your destination and hotel picked out, go to inertiatours.com and get your spring break package set up!

Things to do on Spring Break Panama City

Have your heart set on going to Florida for your spring break trip? You're not alone, Florida is a favorite for lots of spring breakers. In fact, Panama City Beach is the most popular northern Spring Break destination. It's located on the panhandle of Florida, and is a great destination, especially if you're in driving distance. Since there are several college campuses that aren't too far from Panama City, there's always students there during spring break to keep the parties going. If you've never been to Panama City before, here are some things you might want to know.

Where to Stay

Making sure you have somewhere nice to stay at takes the bulk of travel stress away. Once you have that figured out, everything else, like figuring out where to party, is pretty easy.

We recommend the Summit condos. They are in a great location, on the beach, they have big bedrooms and full kitchens/living rooms. This will save you on your spending money. It's also within walking distances to all the good nightclubs. If you are looking for a lower cost option, you might want to consider the Chateau Beach hotel.

The Nightlife

The nightlife is THE reason you choose to go to spring break in Panama City. Most of the big clubs are close to where you would stay. You'll have a great time at super clubs such as La Vela, Spinnakers, and more.

Another bonus is that with Inertia (and only Inertia) you can add to your package our Red Carpet VIP Party Package! Aka the Panamaniac party card. This card has free covers at many popular clubs like Spinnakers, Harpoon Harrys, and Sharkey's. It also includes about 16 hours or so of FREE drinking.

Activities and Side Trips

While the spring break parties might not be as big as they are at South Padre Island, Texas, Panama City really is a great place to go for spring break. It is beautiful (especially the super white, sandy beaches), relaxing, and there is lots to do.

While you are there you should check out Shipwreck Island; they have some pretty cool rides. You could also do some sailing excursions on the Grand Lagoon. Going on a dolphin tour is another fun option. Really, there are endless activities to choose from here.

Get started on planning your spring break trip with Inertia Tours now! You'll get the best deals AND you'll make sure that you and your friends have the best time.

Things To Do On Cancun Spring Break

Most people know that Cancun is the #1 International Spring Break Destination, and it's pretty easy to see why. The temperature is perfect; it is mostly in the high 80's during Spring Break! The scenery is beautiful, you have white sandy beaches, and the clearest ocean water in the world!

You might be psyched to go to Cancun for Spring Break now. However, the question you might be asking yourself is what else is there to do besides chill at the beach all week? Well, we have your answers. We will take a look at some side trips and other activities you can take part in while you're in Cancun.

Clubbing and the Night Life

Especially when you go with Inertia Tours, Cancun is a hotspot for HUGE parties, and the clubbing scene is fantastic. Cancun is home to some world class DJ's. With bumpin' music and great food, you'll be set when you're looking for some fun at night.

Activities in the Water

Like I said before, Cancun has the clearest ocean water in the world! This makes it one of the best places to go snorkeling and scuba diving. Jet Skiing on the ocean is also a favorite activity.

In the Air

If you're the adventurous type, or just like a good view, parasailing would be a good choice for you. You get to be pulled by a boat, so you get to have fun on the water, plus you get a great view of the city!

Exploring

Xplor is like a mega fun center that is pretty close to Cancun. It has tons of fun things to do like zip-lines, amphibious vehicles, underground rafts, and stalactite rivers.

There are also many ancient ruins in the surrounding area of Cancun that are a lot of fun to go see! Chichen Itza is one of the seven man made wonders of the world, and isn't far. Definitely worth considering to check out! For tours and other info, contact us at Inertia Tours.

Things To Do On South Padre Spring Break

There are tons of different things to do at South Padre Island during Spring Break! If you want a Spring Break vacation that is loaded with activities, this is the place for you. Lots of college spring break activities can be kind of boring for college students. I mean, hey, not everyone is into sitting around and fishing or cruising around to look at dolphins. That's okay, because South Padre Island has activities for everyone.

Inland Activities

Clubbing is big in South Padre. Lots of parties and clubs to check out. South Padre Island is also home to some fantastic restaurants. Since it is the biggest college Spring Break hotspot in the U.S. there are always thousands of people to make sure your nightlife and beach/pool parties are always entertaining.

At the Beach

There are also tons of side trips and activities to do at the beach! You don't have to just go to beach parties all day (although they are quite fun!). There is surfing, jet skiing, parasailing, dolphin tours, fishing, skydiving (yes it is on the beach), and party yacht cruises- just to name a few.

So what are you waiting for? Check out the Inertia Tours website and see what kind of deals you can get for you and your friends to have an unforgettable Spring Break 2015!

Top 10 Family Spring Break Destinations and Why

When you are deciding to take your family on a nice Spring Break vacation, figuring out where to go can be the hardest part of the whole process. Every Spring Break destination has its ups and downs, so the purpose of this post is to give you a good idea of what your options are. We've come up with a list of the top 10 destinations to take your family for Spring Break.

#1 Cancun, Mexico

Cancun is the all-around #1 Spring Break destination in the world. Resorts are top notch, everything is very tourist friendly, the weather is unbelievable, and on top of it all you get crystal clear water and white sandy beaches. There are countless side trips and activities for you to choose from, and the night life is very active once you put your kids to bed. Also, all-inclusive options make budgeting much easier.
When you book a trip to Cancun through Inertia Tours we have scheduled flights, on-site staff from the U.S. to help you out, and more. Find more info at https://www.inertiatours.com/springbreak-cancun/

#2 Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Coming in at #2 is Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Though not as popular as Cancun, Puerto Vallarta is becoming one of the bigger international destinations for Spring Break. This may be an advantage though, as it will be slightly less crowded than Cancun. It may not have quite as many side trips or activities as Cancun, but there is still plenty to do here. Also, the weather is still fantastic, and the beaches are still beautiful. Also, many consider Puerto Vallarta beaches the safest in Mexico.
The resorts are nice and laid back, with quality service that you just can't find anywhere else. Also, if you book through Inertia Tours, we have our onsite manager Andy who lives in Puerta Vallarta year round so that he is always available to help you out, no matter when you book your trip.
https://www.inertiatours.com/springbreak-Puerto/

#3 South Padre Island, Texas

South Padre Island comes in at #3 for a few reasons. For one, it is the warmest Spring Break destination in the U.S. with temperatures often in the 80's in March. It's also a bit more affordable as it is in the United States. There are nice resorts you can stay at with private beaches. Endless activities and side trips are available like dolphin tours, deep sea fishing, and even sky diving on the beach. Also, South Padre is the Sand Castle capital of the world! While this is a big destination for college students, it is also a great place to take your family.
https://www.inertiatours.com/springbreak-south-padre/

#4 Panama City, Florida

Panama City is also a very popular destination. It is located in the Northern part of Florida, in the panhandle. You can choose from a variety of hotels, resorts, or condos to stay at. What really sets Panama City apart from other Florida destinations are the beaches. The incredibly white "sugar sand" makes you want to spend your whole trip just relaxing at the beach.

#5 Mazatlan, Mexico

Mazatlan is definitely not as well known as Puerto Vallarta and Cancun. It is still a great place for a family Spring Break vacation, though. The atmosphere is fun, the beaches are great, the food is fantastic, and the weather is typical of Mexico at this time (which is usually perfect since it isn't rainy season during Spring Break). It is a very historical city, which can be fun to learn about with your family.

 #6 Leon, Nicaragua

Nicaragua is quickly become one of the most popular alternative Spring Break destinations. Located right above Costa Rica, the tropical weather is perfect. Once you actually get to Nicaragua you will notice the prices for everything are MUCH lower than in the U.S. and there are unique side trips and activities you can do (like visiting volcanoes). The beaches are less crowded and seem untouched. If you are into surfing or want to learn to surf, Nicaragua is a great place to do it.

#7 Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is often overlooked as a Spring Break destination, but it shouldn't be! It offers a little bit of Caribbean experience that you can get on (kind of) U.S. soil. The pretty beaches make swimming and windsurfing popular.

#8 Bahamas Cruise

While we wouldn't normally recommend a cruise for Spring Break, you can book a Bahamas Cruise through Inertia Tours. This cruise is a little different because you spend 2 nights on the cruise ship (there and back) and 2 nights at a hotel. This way you can get the full Bahamas experience instead of a quick pit stop.

#9 Miami, Florida

Even though Miami is not as far South as South Padre Island (making it a little bit colder), it is still a nice Spring Break destination. You can feel safe as you are still in the United States, and you can enjoy the great food! Beaches there are pretty nice, and there are endless choices when it comes to resorts and places to stay.
https://www.inertiatours.com/springbreak-destinations/

#10 Breckenridge, Colorado

This might seem like a weird destination for Spring Break, but sometimes it is nice to skip the beach when you go on a family Spring Break trip. There is still snow for skiing and snowboarding, but it is much less crowded this time of year! The resort is fantastic. You can get living rooms, full kitchens, fireplaces, plus multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. The condos are even within walking distance of the ski lifts. The mountains are beautiful, so don't miss out on the scenery!
Hopefully this helps narrow down your options for Spring Break 2015 destinations! You can find some incredibly inexpensive deals with great value by checking out the Inertia Tours website. Inertia Tours has so much experience with Spring Break vacations, so they can hook you up with the greatest local attractions. Get a jump on the early bird deals and start planning your family Spring Break vacation today!
